A key example is his 2020 album, Parallele Welten – Live in Zürich, released by La casa de nadie Records. This live album features a series of electroacoustic works for solo instruments—paired with live electronics and generative video—alongside a composition for a vocal quartet and some computer music tracks. Pino explores distinct sonic worlds in each piece, inviting listeners into parallel realities shaped by the interaction of acoustic performance and code-driven sound design.
Collaborating with renowned international artists—such as Chinese choreographer Juliana Zhu Xinyun, visual artist Xiaowen Summer Huang, and Berlin-based multimedia artist Federico Foderaro—Pino develops interdisciplinary works that transcend genre and geography. His projects are site-responsive and adaptable, transforming concert halls, galleries, and unconventional venues into dynamic audiovisual environments.

In the realm of performance, Asphalt Nature stands out as a captivating 9-minutes contemporary dance work that intertwines choreographed movement with electroacoustic sound design, creating a vivid dialogue between body and technology.
Among his recent works, José Pino collaborated on Catfish Effect, a full-evening dance show that premiered in Shanghai in 2021. Created with the same visionary team, this production combines cutting-edge electroacoustic music, immersive visuals, and contemporary choreography to deliver a compelling, multisensory journey that challenges and captivates audiences worldwide.
Another highlight is Hong Kong Soundscape, an acousmatic installation that presents an evocative sonic portrait of urban life through soundscape recordings and carefully composed computer sound.
_ImEdge is a digitally crafted video art experience by Xiaowen Huang and José Pino that merges visual and acoustic landscapes through the power of code. Both the imagery and sound are created algorithmically, with animated outlines of landscapes driving the composition of custom soundscapes.
