A monthly series at L200 on Langstrasse, beginning with a featured concert and continuing as an open jam session.

From Concert to Jam
Zurich Jam Session began in 2024 with a recurring format: an invited artist or ensemble opens the evening, followed by a jam with musicians from Zurich and beyond.
Each edition presents a different project, curated by La casa de nadie and hosted by José Pino. Original music, established repertoire and different approaches to improvisation enter the programme from one month to the next.
After the concert, the musicians stay. Cases open, instruments come out and new players join. There is no set list and no fixed line-up. A duo can become a quartet; a familiar tune can move in an unexpected direction; musicians who have not played together before find themselves sharing the same piece.
The transition is informal. The audience remains in the room, the stage opens to other players, and the programme gives way to whatever happens next.
This movement between a curated concert and an unplanned second half defines Zurich Jam Session: one provides a point of departure; the other is shaped in the moment.

Zurich Jam Session takes place on the last Sunday of each month at L200, Langstrasse 200, Zurich.

Suggested contribution: CHF 30
Students/AHV: CHF 15
Contributions go directly to the artists performing the opening concert. Cash and TWINT accepted.
Different admission conditions may apply to special concerts.
L200
L200 is a shared cultural space at street level on Langstrasse, used for concerts, discussions, workshops and other public events.
During Zurich Jam Session, musicians and listeners inhabit the room at close range. Its position directly on Langstrasse keeps the evening connected to the movement of the street and the neighbourhood around it.
The session ends at 21:00, in consideration of the people living in the building and its surroundings.
