Artists in the House
Recorded at the La casa de nadie Records in Zurich, the series brings together Alessandro Pittini, Benjamin Kissola Gonçalves, Pascal Murer, Sebastián Córdoba, Leandro Irarragorri, Germán Toro-Pérez and Manon Mullener.
Each episode follows a different artistic and personal trajectory. Without a fixed script, the conversation moves between creative processes and lived experience, influences and ideas, places and memories. Its direction emerges along the way, through associations, digressions and unexpected turns.
For the musicians, performance becomes part of the conversation. Original compositions are recorded alongside solo and duet improvisations with José Pino on guitar, bringing the act of making into the dialogue. Music does not interrupt the conversation; it continues it in another form.
Improvising together introduces a different kind of attention: listening, responding and making choices in the moment. What begins in words can shift into sound, opening another space for expression and communication.
The conversations unfold in Spanish, Italian and Portuguese, with each artist speaking in the language they feel most at ease with. Each voice retains its own rhythm, inflection and expression.
Subtitling, developed in collaboration with Swiss Hypertext, is an integral part of the project. It allows the conversations to travel across languages while keeping the original voices present.
Across seven episodes, La casa de nadie Podcast creates space for artists to reflect on their work and the experiences that surround it — and, when conversation gives way to practice, to let the work speak for itself.

This episode follows composer Germán Toro-Pérez through a conversation about composition, literature and the experiences that have shaped his musical thinking. He reflects on the abstract constructions that emerge in his work, his musical roots in Bogotá, and his years in Vienna during the 1980s. Toro-Pérez is Director of the Institute for Computer Music and Sound Technology and Professor of Electroacoustic Composition at the Zurich University of the Arts. watch trailer
