Daniel Bagutti, Ursula Wienken (bass), José Pino, and Roohari at the Zurich Jam Session — a great example of the ensemble’s versatility, with international guest musicians occasionally joining the core lineup.

The distinctive sound of José Pino’s guitar, paired with the rich textures of an accomplished international ensemble, sets the stage for fresh and spontaneous musical dialogues to unfold.

Drawing from the vibrant musical traditions of Ecuador, Brazil, Cuba, Mexico, and Colombia, the José Pino Quartet explores the intersection of Afro-Latin rhythms and contemporary jazz. Their performances highlight both technical mastery and a deep sense of improvisational freedom.

With each performance, audiences are invited on a journey through time and cultures, where familiar melodies are reimagined and new harmonies are born. Featuring José Pino (guitar), Roohari (saxophone), Mauro Martins (bass), and Daniel Bagutti (drums), this internationally rooted quartet delivers a captivating live experience.
