Sound, image and code
José Pino’s work takes different forms, from instrumental and acousmatic composition to audiovisual installation and contemporary dance. Instruments and voices are combined with live electronics and real-time processing; field recordings, computer-generated sound, image and code provide the material for other works.
Parallele Welten – Live in Zürich released by La casa de nadie Records in 2020, brings together compositions for solo instruments with live electronics and generative video, a work for vocal quartet, and computer music.

Collaborations with choreographer Juliana Zhu Xinyun, visual artist Xiaowen Summer Huang and multimedia artist Federico Foderaro extend electroacoustic composition into dance and audiovisual work, with code shaping the relationship between sound and image.
