Join us for an exciting Sunday evening at L200 as we launch the first Zurich Jam Session of 2026. We are proud to welcome two extraordinary Argentinian artists—Amalia Pérez on flute and Darío Barozzi on guitar—who will set the season in motion with a programme that blurs boundaries, bends genres, and invites the room into a world of vibrant musical storytelling.

Some musical encounters feel inevitable—as if two artistic paths were always meant to converge. The duo of Pérez and Barozzi belongs to this rare category: a meeting of virtuosity, imagination, and deep cultural resonance.

With Entreverando, their performance at the Zurich Jam Session, the Buenos Aires–born musicians invite the audience into a vivid soundscape shaped by Argentina’s contemporary and popular traditions. The title itself—interlacing—captures the essence of their work: threads of chamber music, folk idioms, and modern composition woven into a single, breathing fabric.

At the heart of the programme lies a captivating dialogue between flute and guitar. Pérez’s refined, luminous tone moves effortlessly through delicately sculpted phrases, while Barozzi’s guitar grounds the music with rhythmic vitality and harmonic richness. Together, they create an aesthetic fusion born not of contrast but of mutual expansion—two distinct artistic trajectories folding into one expressive voice.

Their repertoire brings together original compositions and bespoke arrangements, each piece reimagined through their own interpretive lens. What emerges is a music that feels simultaneously rooted and exploratory: familiar enough to stir memories, yet unpredictable enough to open new sonic horizons.

In January, Zurich will have the rare opportunity to experience this duo’s intricate musical chemistry up close.

Entreverando is not just a concert — it is an invitation to listen differently, to travel through sound, and to encounter Argentina anew.

About the Artists

Amalia Pérez

Born in Buenos Aires, Pérez is the Principal Flute of the National Symphony Orchestra of Argentina and a member of Ensemble ArtHaus. Her international career includes performances under Kurt Masur, Krzysztof Penderecki, and Heinz Holliger. After completing her Soloist Diploma at the Musik-Akademie Basel, she held principal positions both in Argentina and with the Sinfonieorchester Basel. Darío Barozzi

Also from Buenos Aires, Barozzi is a guitarist, composer, arranger, and educator whose work bridges tradition and contemporary creation. A lecturer at the National University of the Arts (UNA), he published Five Argentinian Études in 2021, a collection endorsed by leading guitarists and scholars. His compositions—including Tiento y Madera and App 2021—have been performed internationally, and his concert and recording collaborations span Europe and South America.
